After much success, we are pleased to bring back the Toronto Triathlon Club Challenge for a 7th year!
Congrats to the TTC for taking the 2017 crown once again!
During the registration process athletes should identify themselves as a member of their respective club. Then on race day sport their club gear with pride for a chance to win bragging rights and cash prizes for their club!
A prize purse of $2000 has been generously offer by the TTF and the Toronto Triathlon Club – 60% for 1st Place, 30% for 2nd Place and 10% for 3rd Place.
Congrats to 2017 Toronto Triathlon Club Challenge winners, which incidentally is the same finish as in 2016:
1st Place: Toronto Triathlon Club
2nd Place: Team LPC
3rd Place: C3
To be eligible for the Toronto Triathlon Club Challenge, your club must have a minimum of 10 individual athletes registered in the TTF (in the Sprint, Draft Legal Sprint or Olympic Distance Race). And as a club you must be sanctioned by a provincial federation.
For the Age Group Sprint and Olympic Races, club members will receive points awarded based on their True Age Group Division Place. For clarity, True Age Group Division Place does not remove overall finishers, master finishers, non-club member finishers, etc. from the respective age group division.
For the Draft Legal Sprint Race, club members will receive points awarded based on their overall placing.
Points for the Age Group Sprint and Olympic Races are awarded as follows: 6 – first place, 5 – second place, 4 – third place, 3 – fourth place, 2 – fifth place for each age group division listed for awards.
Points for the Draft Legal Sprint Race are awarded as follows: 6 – first place, 5 – second place, 4 – third place, 3 – fourth place, 2 – fifth place for overall ranking (within this race).
In addition, 1 point will be awarded for all club finishers (to a maximum of 20 points).
All of the points, noted above, will be accumulated from all three races to determine the overall 2017 Toronto Triathlon Club Challenge winner.
Club A has two 2nd place finishes and 15 total member finishes; Total Points = 25 pts
Club B has one 1st place finish and 20 total member finishes; Total Points = 26 pts
**** Club B Wins ***
