On Sunday, July 10, 2016, over 1,200 athletes took part in the fifth annual Toronto Triathlon Festival (TTF).
Our unique course offered an unparalleled urban experience, providing an opportunity to compete in Toronto’s downtown core, including on portions of the Don Valley Parkway and the Gardiner Expressway.
In addition to an Olympic and Sprint Distance set of races, the 2016 TTF Race Weekend also hosted the Provincial Championships as well as an Elite / U23 and Junior Cup Series Race.
Five different continents were represented by TTF athletes. In total, over 4,000 people took part, at various times, throughout the weekend, and we utilized over 350 local volunteers.
The TTF Race Weekend is estimated to have generated over $1.1 million in economic development for the City of Toronto and the Province of Ontario.
